Accepting the plea of Moon Garden Karachi's builder Abdul Razak Khamosh on Wednesday, the Supreme Court granted time to deposit amount of Rs 50 million as security in cash and a bank guarantee of the same amount by a week. Earlier, the Supreme Court had suspended the Sindh High Court's verdict ordering demolition of the illegally-built residential complex, Moon Garden, and eviction of its residents.

The court had asked builder of the project Abdul Razak Khamosh to deposit a surety of Rs 50 million in cash as well as a bank guarantee of the same amount with the court within two weeks. Appearing before a two-judge bench of the Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan in the case, Khamosh requested the court for more time, saying he will be able to abide by the court directives in the matter after selling the flats. Hearing of the matter was adjourned for a week.
